I first became interested in chocolate, professionally, in 1994 and began actively working in the field in 1998. I started publishing in 2001 and had a book published, Discover Chocolate, in 2007. In early 2008 I created the online community, which now has over 8000 members, ranging from growers to celebrity chefs, in over 160 countries. I have traveled extensively to origin within Latin America and to factories in the US, Latin America, and Europe. I have spoken at major international conferences and have appeared on television, radio, and in print in both consumer and business publications.
